Save a lot

I was totally excited today when I opened the mail box.  Save a lot sent out letters in my area that they changed the store. They sent out coupons for $5.00 off $20.00. Which if they take man q's then can get a really really great deal. They stated they are under new management and have redecorated..which MY store really really needed.  Hopefully they fired a few people and hired new.  I had quit shopping there awhile ago because every time i went shopping there i was followed by employees. Felt very uncomfortable. So hopefully things will look up when i go to check them out now that they said things have been improved.

Went to shop n save tonight. Walked around was LOVELY was hardly anyone there so i didnt feel rushed to get what i needed and out.   But, i went to get soda, its 10 for 10 granted had no coupons but being a sodaholic.  But while i was there i checked out the red hot sauce.  IT was an awesome deal got 3 bottles for .29 cents each. used 50 cents off one and shop n save doubles up to 50 cent coupons.  retail on them are 1.29

My trips today to rite aid and walgreens

Well, I didnt use any coupons at walgreens not because i didnt want to. BUT, because i didnt have any for the items i was buying.   The deals were so good i had to get them. 

4 box's post cereal 1.75 each = 7.00 total
5 box's  betty crocker tatoes 1.00 = 5.00 total
The cereal is well over 3 dollars a box not sure how much the crocker tatoes were.  Wish the receipt told you. Am grateful that it does tell you the savings.  I spent $12.00 and saved $20.12. Without coupons that is a really good deal.  Also i got $1.00 back from post. 



My rite aid trip was alittle bit different.

2 freezer bags 2 for $4.00
2 ziploc containers 2 for $4.00
1 purex laundry soap $1.97
used ziplock coupon for 1.oo off 2 boxs of bags
used ziplock coupon for 1.50 off 2 boxs of containers
used purez coupon for 1.00 off 50 oz or more

I spent 7.07 saved 11.58 and i also got $2.00 back in up rewards plus a survey for $3.00 off $15.00 purchase.  overall considering i havent done much couponing in awhile it was rather a good day.

My trip today

Well, my trip wasnt all that great.  BUT, was good enough for me.  Saving 40 some odd percent on my bill compaired to paying full price or even just discounts for that weeks sales.  I think i rocked.

     72   koolaid packets (used 3 buy 10 get 5 free and 4 buy 2 get 1 free, however when she scanned them the buy 10 get 5 free rang up $1.00 each and the buy 2 get 1 free rang up .20 cents each)
      2    stove top stuffing (used mperk $1.00 off 2 and used .55 cents off two)
      3    mt dew ( on sale for 4/$5.00 also have to pay .10 cents deposit)
     10   pks of taco bell seasoning (on sale for .39 cents a peice)
     12   cans  taco bell refried beans (on sale .54 cents a can)
      8     frozen corn ( 0.82, not on sale but i only buy frozen veggies)
      1     small tortilla (1.19 not on sale)
      2     large tortilla (1.59 not on sale)
      4     liquid dial (.99 cents on sale plus used .35 cents coupon)
     18    yoplait yogurt ( 10 for $5.00 used 3 coupons for .40 cents off 6)
       4    danimals collisons (on sale for 1.89 used 1 coupon for save 1.oo off 2 (was a cat coupon), and used 2 coupons for .55 cents off one)
       3     meijjer brand cheese singles (on sale for 3 for $5.00)

total    $113.84

Meijer Shopping Trip

My shopping trip to meijer today.


4 grands buscuits (used mperk $1.00 off 4 plus 2 q's .30 cents each)
4 cambells soup at hand (used mperk $1.00 off 4)

Each was on sale for $1.00.  The deal was 10 for 10 get the 11th free.

Total before coupons and discounts  $19.19
Total oop after discounts and coupons $6.30
saved $12.89
also got 3 coupons from the cat machine. save $1.00 off next dairy purchase of $5.00 or more, $1.00 off next purchase of produce $5.00 or more, and $1.50 off  next cookies and crackers purchase of $5.00 or more.

Slow go

Well its been a slow go for a few weeks.  Is ok, im totally ok with it.  Just hope there is some better ad's out there soon.  I can not wait to be able to go to the store...with my 200 bucks and walk out with 500-600 bucks worth of food.  I know that seems alot to spend on food for those that are extreme couponers.  But, i want to start out extremly slow.  Its not the easiest where i live to get awesome deals.  Most of the time the stores have the deal the week after the coupon expires.. TOTALLY frustrating then.  But, i will keep it up.  I will get to a point where my cuboards are allways full...
